Zanzibar Tours & Excursions

8 styles of day trip — snorkeling, culture, sunsets and adventure, all led by island guides.

About Zanzibar tours

Zanzibar is small enough to see in a week and rich enough to fill a month — UNESCO-listed Stone Town, inland spice plantations, the red colobus of Jozani Forest and the reefs of Mnemba Atoll. Every departure is run by Zanzibari guides rather than resold seats, so you get hotel pickup island-wide, honest advice on tides and weather, our own boats and equipment, and pricing with nothing hidden. Choose a half-day excursion, a full day on the water with grilled seafood on a sandbank, or a private departure — and we build custom itineraries at no extra cost.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer hotel pickup anywhere in Zanzibar?
Yes. Pickup and drop-off from hotels across Nungwi, Kendwa, Paje, Jambiani, Michamvi, Matemwe, Stone Town and Kiwengwa is included on almost every tour. Remote areas may carry a small transfer supplement, always quoted before you book.
Can children join Zanzibar tours?
Most of our tours are family friendly. Boat trips carry child life jackets, and we can shorten itineraries or arrange private departures so young children travel at their own pace.
What happens if it rains?
Zanzibar rain is usually short. If conditions make a tour unsafe we reschedule at no cost or refund you in full — you are never charged for weather we cancel.
Do I need to be able to swim to snorkel?
No. Buoyancy vests are provided, our guides stay in the water with you, and every boat carries a crew member trained in water rescue.
How far in advance should I book?
Popular tours such as Safari Blue and Mnemba fill up in high season (July–August and December–February). One to two weeks ahead is comfortable; last-minute requests are still worth sending.
Can I book a private tour?
Yes. Any tour can be run privately for your group — just tell us your dates and party size and we will quote a private rate.
