Ngorongoro Crater: A spectacular volcanic caldera with a high concentration of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, zebras, hippos and potentially black rhinos.
Best time to visit
June–October is generally ideal for wildlife viewing and dry weather. January–February can also be excellent, while the rainy seasons offer greener landscapes, fewer visitors and great photography opportunities.
Getting there
The safari starts in Arusha with a morning pickup before traveling to Tarangire National Park. After the game drive, continue to the Ngorongoro area for an overnight stay, followed by a crater game drive before returning toward Arusha.
